1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using AccountScope ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
AccountScope provides a secure platform for uploading, processing, and analyzing bank statements and financial data. The Service includes automatic PII redaction, transaction parsing, forensic analysis, and export capabilities.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise system security
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Share your account with unauthorized users
- Attempt to access data belonging to other tenants
- Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
5. Data Ownership and Privacy
Your Data: You retain all rights to the data you upload. We do not claim ownership of your data.
Data Use: We use your data solely to provide the Service. We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing purposes.

6. Subscription and Billing
Free Trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. Payment method required at signup, but you won't be charged until the trial period ends.
Paid Plans: After the trial, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by law.
7. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. Enterprise plans include SLA guarantees.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that threatens the security or integrity of the Service. Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data.
9. Limitation of Liability
AccountScope is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AccountScope from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
